Pool Coping is installed on the bond beam, hiding the steel extending from the pool walls and covering its concrete edges. It also keeps water from getting under the pool shell and merges the pool’s finish and tile. If the coping is properly installed, any water splashed out of the pool should flow away from the collection and down into deck drains. The coping should be gently angled away from the pool.
If an in-ground swimming pool is made of concrete, it will require copying and a cap for the pool’s edge. Coping protects and surrounds the swimming pool shell. This component prevents water and debris from entering beneath the surface, protecting it from damage or cracking.
