Black slate is a frost-resistant fine-grained slate stone from North India’s Himalayas. It is available in thin thicknesses ranging from 10 to 20 mm with a variety of finishes including Natural, Honed, Polished, Shot Blasted, Brushed, Lather Finish, and Vibrated finish (Tumbled). It is also available with a mix of surfaces, such as honed and then sandblasted. Sizes, thickness, edges, and surface may all be altered. It is fireproof and nonslip, and is widely used in wall-cladding, roofing, flooring, and other forms of interior and outdoor decorations.
